I’m so excited to announce my next decision making cohort running from April 28th to May 10th. As always, subscribers to my substack get a special discount on maven.com.
When I first built this course to help entrepreneurs, executive-level decision makers, investors, and leaders with decision making, I couldn’t have imagined that nearly 300 students would trust me to be their guide. I’m so honored to have achieved a 4.8/5.0 rating across my prior five cohorts.
Now, my seventh cohort is launching April 28th. The class will meet twice a week on zoom for two hours, generally at 6 pm eastern US I also hold office hours once a week for an hour, also at 6 pm eastern.

I’ve made this course as interactive and hands-on as possible, so you get to do as you learn. By the end, you’ll be able to make higher quality decisions, and expand your network with a solid group of peers from start ups, VC's, universities, and companies like Oracle, Google, and Ernst and Young, .
Over 3 weeks, you’ll learn:
How to make better decisions.
Every decision is a bet on a forecast of the future. You have limited resources to figure out which prediction will have the best return in the long run. The solution: my 6-step process for better decision making.
What gets in the way of making good decisions.
Why doesn't your gut make great decisions? The answer: cognitive bias. I'll show you how to get to the outside view — what is true of the world independent of your own point of view.
Making effective decisions as a team.
Teams don’t always produce higher-quality decisions — they just have higher confidence. You'll learn how to find out when people disagree and normalize dissent in groups.
Making faster decisions.
There's a time-accuracy trade-off with decisions. I'll teach you my best frameworks for figuring out how fast you can go when making decisions.
Here’s the schedule:
Live session dates: 4/28, 5/1, 5/5, 5/8, 5/12, 5/15
Office hours: 4/4/30, 5/7, and 5/14
1-2 hours/week for readings & projects
And here’s what past students have had to say:
“Wow! Annie is an incredible source of knowledge on decision-making. The class discussions were engaging, thought-provoking, and highly practical. The final class was absolutely phenomenal! I would highly recommend this course to anyone dedicated to improving their decision-making skills, both professionally and personally.” - Sriram, Sr Director - Enterprise Infrastructure and Solutions, GE Vernova
“I am physician epidemiologist and former local and state health official that had to make high stakes decisions in the face of uncertainty, time constraints, and trade-offs. I have studied decision making for years and I have made her content the foundation of how I promote decision quality. She has developed an effective, practical approach that is grounded in cognitive psychology, team science, and continuous improvement. Her approach can be deployed quickly as an individual or as a team. She starts by helping us understand and mitigate the unconscious barriers that prevent us from becoming better decision makers. Her approach is foundational like the roots of a tree — the deeper and stronger the roots, the better our decisions. To this foundation one can add advanced methods when feasible. Hers books are my top recommended books on my Team Public Health blog (https://teampublichealth.substack.com/p/what-should-i-read-to-improve-my).” - Tomás, TeamPublicHealth.substack.com, California Department of Public Health
“Annie combines deep expertise, boundless enthusiasm and a talent for engaging students in conversation. This was the best online course I've ever taken. Highly recommended.” - Matthew, Partner, Grit Capital Partners

The cohort-based format ensures active participation, enabling you to learn not just from the content but also from the diverse perspectives and experiences of your peers. It's an excellent investment in sharpening your decision-making skills.” - Pat, Director, Strategic Intelligence & Analytics, FINRA / OnTrackWithPat
“A game-changer for anyone looking to refine their decision-making skills. The framework Annie provides can be immediately put to good use. The course raises your awareness around gaps in information to help you make more informed decisions. She shares a lot of resources that help continue the lesson even after the course has ended. Highly recommend.” - Heather, VP of Sales & Marketing, Search Engine Journal
"Annie is an excellent teacher. Her frameworks around decision making and the passion and intention with which she expresses it to the class is phenomenal. No matter what your job role (or even if you don't work a regular job at all) the skills Annie teaches are life skills. I would recommend that EVERYBODY (who can afford it) should definitely enroll in this course. While her books are excellent, engaging with her in person provides an immensely enriching experience." - Aishwarya, Google
