The point about inequity is such an important one. As an HR professional I’ve seen *a lot* more instances of toxic sponsorship than those that had a broader positive effect. And as a complex trauma survivor I’m uncomfortable with a practice that can undermine fairness and transparency. I’d be really interested actually to know if the book discusses if, when and how sponsorships should be disclosed?

My mind- it is blown. I’ve done both of these things over the years but without the conscious distinction. I’m now realizing there are so many ways I could have been a better sponsor if I’d been intentionally filling that role. Definitely picking up the book!
